Strong Towns Bowling Green hosts ‘walking audit’

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Two men are trying to bring a national movement to Bowling Green, focused on walkability and overall community health.

Strong Towns is a nonprofit organization that strives to teach Americans about development pattern shifts post World War II and advocate for new ways to approach developing communities, making them comfortable for everyone whether you’re on foot or behind the wheel.

Adam Desloge and Zach Klosterman are leading a “walking audit” on Jan. 19 at 1 p.m. starting at the Mill House Café in downtown Bowling Green to take citizens on a tour of the area as well as teach participants about the Bowling Green of old and how things like zoning ordinances have affected communal health over the decades.
