Norton Children’s Hospital welcomes first baby of 2025

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – While many people across the Commonwealth were celebrating by ringing in the new year, two new parents celebrated by welcoming their newborn son into the world.

Norton Women’s and Children and Destiny and Garrett Sapp welcomed Hayden Ryan Sapp to the world at 12:35 a.m.

Weighing 8 pounds 9 ounces, family and staffed gathered to take pictures with the first baby of the new year.

Norton Children’s delivers more than 9,100 babies a year, so a big congratulations to the Sapps for welcoming in the first baby of 2025.
