Bonnieville man flees police on dirt bike, facing nine charges

MUNFORDVILLE, Ky. – A Bonnieville man is facing criminal charges after fleeing police.

The Munfordville Police Department says a man operating a dirt bike disregarded a traffic stop after driving through a stop sign on Wednesday, November 27.

Officers say the man continued driving through residential yards and streets at a high rate of speed and in opposite lanes of travel. The pursuit continued onto 31W North and ended on Rocky Hill Road.

The man lost control of the dirt bike and fled on foot. Police say after a short foot pursuit and resisting arrest, the man was apprehended.

Police identified the man as Trevor Kelley, 31 of Bonnieville.

Kelley allegedly destroyed the VIN on the dirt bike and possessed marijuana.

Kelley is charged with no taillight lamps, disregarding a stop sign, first-degree fleeing or evading police, second-degree criminal mischief, speeding 26 mph above the speed limit, reckless driving, resisting arrest, destruction of a VIN, and possession of marijuana.

Kelley is lodged at the Hart County Jail.
