Free December movies hosted at the Capitol

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Step out of the cold and into a month of free movies at the Capitol Theatre.
The Warren County Public Library has announced a list of the following movies that will play for free throughout the month of December:
- Monday, Dec. 2: “Bell, Book, and Candle” (Subtitled, rated PG) at 2 and 6:30 p.m.
- Saturday, Dec. 7: “It’s a Wonderful Life” (rated PG) with Hope House Toy Drive at 2 and 6:30 p.m.
- Friday, Dec. 20: “A Christmas Carol (1951)” (rated PG) at 5 p.m. and “It’s a Wonderful Life” (rated PG) at 7 p.m.
- Saturday, Dec. 21: “The Muppet Christmas Carol” (rated G) at noon, “The Nightmare Before Christmas” (rated PG) at 1:45 p.m., “Gremlins” (rated PG) at 3:30 p.m. and “Die Hard” (rated R) at 6 p.m.
- Thursday, Dec. 26: “The War of the Worlds (1953) at 8 p.m., “Planet of the Apes (1968)” (rated G) at 10 a.m., “Close Encounters of the Third Kind” (rated PG) at noon and “E.T.” (rated PG) at 2:30 p.m.
The library says no ticket is required for these events.
