Marion County Animal Shelter reports robbery

LEBANON, Ky. – The Marion County Animal Shelter is reporting a robbery occurred Monday night.

The Hart County Animal Shelter is encouraging the local community to lend a helping hand after the reported incident, whether that includes donations, supplies or volunteering time.

Aubrey Senn, the director and animal control officer at the Marion County Animal Shelter, shared in a Facebook post that all of the animals are safe. However, she says the shelter is small and county funded, making the impact hurtful.

Right now, she says they want to still try to give the animals the holiday celebration they deserve.

To contribute, a wishlist of needs at the shelter can be found here. If you have any information on the reported robbery, you are encouraged to reach out to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office at 270-692-3051.
