Bowling Green man charged with drug trafficking near a school

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Kentucky State Police arrested a Bowling Green man accused of drug trafficking on Tuesday.
KSP says it received tips on a possible drug trafficking operation being conducted at 619 McElwain Court.
A warrant was obtained and executed at the residence belonging to Frankie Parks, Jr.
Detectives say drug paraphernalia, supplies for drug trafficking and distribution, 6 to 8 grams of suspected synthetic marijuana (SPICE), and a long gun were located inside the residence. Parks is a convicted felon.
The residence is located within 1,000 feet of Bowling Green Learning Center.
Parks is charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, trafficking a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a school (enhancement), and drug paraphernalia (buy/possess).
Parks is lodged at the Warren County Regional Jail.
