Cox and Bauer named Offensive Player and Setter of the Week

BOWLING GREEN, KY. — After sweeping Liberty and earning their sixth straight regular season championship, both Kaylee Cox and Callie Bauer earned CUSA Player of the Week honors.
Cox earned her second straight—and fifth overall—CUSA Offensive Player of the Week while Bauer earned her fourth CUSA Setter of the Week honor.
Cox earned her fifth Player of the Week after the 2-0 sweep of the Flames where she collected 38 kills and registered a .471 [38-6-68] hitting percentage while averaging 5.43 kills per set. She also was responsible for two service aces and five total blocks
that included two solo efforts.
The Texas native also posted another double double in Thursday’s match, posting 15 kills and 12. She currently leads the Hilltoppers in kills with 408 and service aces with 48.
Bauer’s fourth Setter of the Week comes after a weekend that saw her collect a total of 90 assists, four blocks, three kills, and two service aces.
The Michigan native also posted her ninth double double of the season with 39 assists and 11 digs. She is currently ranked fourth in the nation in assists with 1,201 and 15th in assists per set with 10.82.
WKU Volleyball heads to El Paso, Tex. this week to play in the CUSA tournament. The Hilltoppers have earned the No. 1 seed after a perfect 18-0 record in conference.
