City of Bowling Green official receives KLC Training Award

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Kentucky League of Cities has presented Bowling Green commissioner Sue Parrigin with a Level I Achievement in City Governance award.
According to a release by the Kentucky League of Cities, KLC administers the City Officials Training Center, a voluntary education program.
City officials are able to complete education levels by attending KLC events and submitting outside educational credit from other municipal training.
“KLC is committed to helping local leaders continuously learn and grow,” said KLC executive director/CEO J.D. Chaney. “Awards achieved through the KLC City Officials Training Center program are a testament to the dedication and community service of Kentucky’s city officials.”
The KLC City Officials Training Center has four tiers of recognition based on the number of training hours participants complete in city governance and ethics, the release says.
