Bowling Green Parks and Recreation Annual Trunk or Treat

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- As Halloween approaches, Bowling Green Parks and Recreation is gearing up for its annual Trunk or Treat event, making trick-or-treating more accessible for local families.

Last year, the event attracted over 1,000 participants, and this year’s turnout is expected to be just as impressive.

This initiative allows children and their families to enjoy Halloween festivities safely and conveniently, especially for those who may not have trick-or-treating options in their neighborhoods.

Madison Duncan, the adaptive recreation supervisor with Bowling Green Parks and Rec, emphasized the importance of this event, stating that it provides a vital opportunity for families to celebrate the holiday together.

“Being able to offer this kind of trick-or-treating is really important,” she noted, highlighting the challenges some families face in finding safe locations.

However, Bowling Green Parks and Rec is still in need of trunks to enhance the experience. Community members are encouraged to participate by decorating their vehicles and distributing treats. The Trunk or Treat event will take place on October 24th at Preston Miller Park from 6 p.m.- 8 p.m.
