Bowling Green Police Department investigating string of car break-ins
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Just shy of 50 car break-ins have gotten the attention of the Bowling Green Police Department, and they are currently looking for clues.
News 40 spoke to BGPD public information officer Ronnie Ward, who said what transpired in the early hours of Oct. 7 was unusual. The amount of break-ins so close to each other isn’t the normal incident that BGPD runs into, and even stranger, reports of broken glass but no stolen items.
Ward said this leads the department to believe that the perpetrator or perpetrators might have been looking for something specific.
BGPD is actively looking for evidence and asks that the community call if they have any information.
