Warren County’s 6th District discusses possible plans for I65 exit
Woodburn, Ky. – Warren County’s 6th District, located in the southern section of Warren County, held a State of the District meeting at the Woodburn Fire Station #2. Many local elected officials showed up to answer questions and concerns from the public. Among those concerns is plans for a new exit to be built off of Interstate 65.
The exit is projected to be located at somewhere in the Richpond-Woodburn area. Officials showed their praises for this new project saying that it will allow for easier access to the interstate in the southern part of Warren County. However, not everybody was pleased with these new plans. Some residents voiced their concern for this new project saying that it could be very expensive to put an exit there.
“240 might be a better solution I think because 242 you’re going to have some real expensive land if you are going to run a road from 244 over the interstate over to 31w in Richpond some of these subdivisions sell for $80,000 an acre. So this could get really expensive to build a road from there 242 interchange. ” said Jimmy White a resident of the Richpond area.
Warren County has yet to determine when the project will start, but it is only one of a few projects planned for that area.
