UPDATE: One person in custody after fire at Kroger on 31-W Bypass

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Multiple units responded to the scene of a reported fire at Kroger on U.S. 31-W Bypass in Bowling Green on Monday afternoon.

According to the Bowling Green Police Department, a subject entered the store and set two Halloween displays on fire, as well as two displays outside of the store.

Bowling Green Fire Department public information officer Katie McKee says the fire is under control at this time, and police have a potential suspect in custody, identified as Derek Coleman.

Police say charges include first-degree wanton endangerment, second-degree criminal mischief, first-degree arson, second-degree disorderly conduct, drug paraphernalia and first-degree possession of a controlled substance.

No injuries have been reported at this time.

News 40 crews are on scene and say the store is currently still open, and crews are cleaning up the area.
