Edmonson County Sheriff’s Office receives beneficial grants

EDMONSON COUNTY, Ky. – The Edmonson County Sheriff’s Office has recently received two grants that will go a long way in the department.

News 40 spoke to Sheriff James Vincent, who said “as a rural department, every dollar counts” when asked about how important the grants are to he, the 5 deputies patrolling and the two student resource officers.

Through the Kentucky Attorney General’s Office, every law enforcement agency has been able to apply for aid this year to get new body armor due to a staggering 20 percent of officers have expired body armor or no armor at all.
