Warren County Public Library partners with the International Center of Kentucky
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Warren County Public Library is expanding its reach and connecting with thousands of people every day, and they have no plans to stop anytime soon.
In a groundbreaking partnership with the International Center of Kentucky in Bowling Green, the library has opened a new satellite location.
This initiative provides refugees with the opportunity to learn how to read and navigate various social media platforms.
Albert Mbanfu, executive director of the International Center of Kentucky, emphasizes the importance of this resource, saying, “Many of them do not speak English. Having a satellite library here brings reading closer to them.”
The new library offers free access to books and essential guidance on English literacy.
Additionally, it provides classes for individuals looking to improve their English skills from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. This collaborative effort not only enriches the community but also fosters inclusion and education.
