17-year-old arrested after weekend shots fired report on Chestnut Street
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Bowling Green Police Department is investigating a report of shots fired over the weekend on Chestnut Street.
According to BGPD, officers responded on Saturday, Sept. 28 for a call of shots fired in the 1500 block of Chestnut Street.
While no injuries were reported, police say one home was struck by gunfire.
During the investigation, police say they reviewed video surveillance capturing an involved vehicle that left the scene.
Police say they located the vehicle later that day and interviewed the occupants.
A 17-year-old male was arrested for shooting at a female in the 1500 block of Chestnut Street.
Police say they believe the shooting happened as a result of a dispute between two groups known to each other.
The investigation remains ongoing. Police say they have identified other individuals involved in this incident, and additional charges are possible.
