Community Education starts Teen Angel registration
Bowling Green, Ky. – Christmas is still months away but one local non-profit is looking ahead to make sure all members of the community will have a holly jolly Christmas.
Community Education has recently opened their registration for Teen Angel. Teen Angel is a service provided by Community Education to make sure teens have a great Christmas. Community Education Assistant Director Joshua Smith says that smaller children are usually the focus during the holiday season but its important to remember those who might be forgotten.
“They’re families in need, and so they’re coming up to Christmas wanting gifts. There are so many programs that we have dedicated to kids. We have Toys for Tots. We have the Angel Tree, we have Affordable Christmas. But we still felt like 14 years ago that the teens still needed to be served. So we created Teen Angel out of that need of something to come in and help the teen population.” said Assistant Director Joshua Smith.
To register your teen, they must attend Warren County Public Schools, or the Bowling Green Independent School District, and they must be at least 13 years old. If you would like to sign up, or help out you can click here for more information.
