Senator Rand Paul Reacts to Trump Assassination Attempt
Russellville, Ky. – Kentucky Senator Rand Paul is now weighing in on the attempted assassination attempt of former President, and current Republican Presidential Nominee Donald Trump. Senator Paul says that the rhetoric coming from certain groups are emboldening crazy, and very angry individuals to try something that might otherwise not have happened. This comes just two months after trump was wounded during an assassination attempt in Butler County Pennsylvania. Here’s what Paul had to say about the second attempt on trumps life courtesy of WRUS.
“Very worrisome. They got very close. They were within 100 yards or so and could have been once again could have been very tragic. I think it’s a message to particularly to people on the left, they need to tone down the rhetoric. You’ve got so many of these different networks claiming that Donald Trump is going to end the war actions, he’s going to end democracy, that Donald Trump has Hitler and those that kind of rhetoric and that kind of language is exciting, unstable and crazy and angry people around the country.”
