UPDATE: Man arrested after pursuit in Scottsville, damage at car wash
SCOTTSVILLE, Ky. – A man WNKY News 40 previously reported was being sought by the Scottsville Police Department has been apprehended.
The Scottsville Police Department says officers responded on Wednesday around 9 a.m. to 537 Bowling Green Road in relation to structural damage at the Patriot Car Wash.
Police placed a surveillance photo on Facebook asking for help to identify the individual.
Since then, police say they have identified the individual as Harold R. Nix, 53, of Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
On Wednesday, a civilian tip led officers to a 2015 Dodge pickup truck on East Main Street.
Police say they attempted to conduct a traffic stop, but Nix fled, which resulted in a pursuit.
During the pursuit, police say Nix threw items out of the vehicle before stopping on West Cherry Street. Nix was taken into custody without incident.
Through investigation, police say they learned Nix possessed marijuana, methamphetamine and items consistent with drug paraphernalia.
Nix was transported to the Allen County Detention Center on a $3,000 cash bond. Scottsville police were assisted by the Allen County Sheriff’s Office.
Nix is charged with first-degree criminal mischief, first-degree fleeing or evading police, operating on a suspended or revoked operators license, disregarding a traffic control device – traffic light, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana and first-degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine).
