NEW DETAILS: Police capture man suspected in gunshots fired investigation in Hart County

HORSE CAVE, Ky. – A man is in custody following a shooting in Horse Cave on Tuesday evening.

Kentucky State say they, along with the Hart County Sheriff’s Office, received a call at approximately 8:30pm to a call of potential gunshots fired. The agencies responded to L and N Turnpike Road and Waterloo Road.

Units on scene say the suspect fled into a nearby wooded area.

Officers set up a perimeter around the wooded area after hearing gunshots.

Following a standoff, Nicholas Noyes, 30 of Cecilia, exited the woods and taken into custody.

KSP Post 3 Public Affairs Officer Katan Parker says there were no injuries during the incident.

Noyes is charged with wanton endangerment 1st degree – police officer and is lodged at the Hart County Jail.
