Barren River Area Development District holds community meetings
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – As a response to the regional opioid crisis, the Barren River Area Development District is holding community meetings to get people involved in the Anchor Project that BRADD is overseeing.
The anchor project is a three-pronged effort, which includes a life learning center, the forming of the new drug control policy office and the building of a mental health crisis intake facility.
BRADD is asking the community to come out to these meetings and both learn and give feedback from the program.
News 40 spoke to Eric Sexton, BRADD’s executive director, who told us that this is sure to have positive effects for years to come after everything is up and running.
Upcoming meetings for the anchor project will be Oct. 3 at the Hart County Extension Office at 3:30 p.m. in Mundfordville, followed by the Carol Knicely Center meeting in Bowling Green on Oct. 17, starting at 4 p.m.
