Cave City Police Department conducting traffic safety checkpoints in September
CAVE CITY, Ky. – The Cave City Police Department will be conducting traffic safety checkpoints throughout the month of September.
The department posted to social media on Monday, stating that the checkpoints will last from 7 p.m. to 2 a.m. through Sept. 30.
During checkpoints, police say they will be enforcing laws related to driving a vehicle, including operating a motor vehicle under the influence, licensing of motor vehicles and operators, registration and insurance violations, seat belt and child restraint violations and more.
The following locations are approved for checkpoints, according to police:
- 400 block of Mammoth Cave Street.
- 800 block of Mammoth Cave Road.
- Old Lexington Road and Cemetery Road.
- Grinstead Mill Road and Blair Road.
- Happy Valley Road and Estes Road.
- Old Horse Cave Road and Hart County Line.
- 400 block of North Dixie Highway.
- Louisville Road and Happy Valley Road.
- Mammoth Cave Road and Interstate 65 interchange.
