WCSO deputy honored for traffic safety enforcement

WARREN COUNTY, Ky. – A Warren County Sheriff’s Office deputy is being recognized for his part in traffic safety enforcement.
Deputy Wayne Mayfield was honored at the 2024 Governor’s Occupant Protection Enforcement Awards Ceremony, the agency says.
According to the WCSO, within the past year, Mayfield issued 240 of the 489 citations by the agency for failure to wear seatbelts, failure to use child restraint device in vehicle and no booster seat.
Mayfield also recently celebrated 50 years of working in law enforcement.
The sheriff’s office says it has no doubt Mayfield makes Warren County safer as a community.
