KSP investigate fatal collision involving a lawn mower

ADAIR COUNTY, Ky. – The Kentucky State Police are investigating a fatal collision that took place at approximately 3:56 pm on KY 76 in Adair County involving two vehicles.  According to the release from KSP, a preliminary investigation revealed that 78-year-old Ralph Grider, was traveling east on KY 76 on a lawn tractor when a vehicle driven by 71-year-old Larry Goodin collided with the rear of of the lawn tractor.

An Adair County coroner on the scene pronounced Ralph Grider deceased. Officials say Larry Goodin refused medical treatment.

The collision remains under investigation.
