KSP investigating report of police impersonator

CAMPBELLSBURG, Ky. – A man has still not been identified after authorities say he pulled a woman over in Campbellsburg, Kentucky.

The Kentucky State Police says a woman reached out Saturday, reporting a newer model black Dodge Challenger attempted to conduct a traffic stop on her while she was driving in Trimble County.

Authorities say she told them a man placed a blue light on top of the car and activated it.

According to KSP, the woman also says she pulled over to the side of the road before the male subject exited the vehicle and began to approach her vehicle while holding what she believed to be a knife.

The male is described as white and about 5 feet 10 inches tall with a blue hoody and jeans at the time of the incident. The light on the roof of the vehicle is described as a magnetic light.

The investigation into this incident remains ongoing.
