Roads to close for WKU homecoming parade

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Drivers may want to stay aware of some road closures for Western Kentucky University’s homecoming parade Friday evening.

The Nightmare on Normal Street homecoming parade will begin on WKU’s main campus at Hardin Planetarium at 5 p.m.

The parade will continue down State Street to Fountain Square Park, turn left on Main Street and immediately turn left on College Street before continuing up College Street to end in front of Cherry Hall.

Beginning at 3 p.m., College Heights Boulevard will shut down from State Street to Parking Structure 1 to provide parade staging. College Street from College Heights Boulevard to Alumni Avenue will shut down at the same time. Both areas will open again when the parade ends at 6:30 p.m.
