Glasgow woman charged with assault of police officer
GLASGOW, Ky. – A woman is behind bars after police say she assaulted two people.
The Glasgow Police Department responded to a fight compliant on McKenna Street on Tuesday.
Authorities stated officers confirmed after arriving that a physical altercation had taken place and 22-year-old Courtney Jackson of Glasgow had assaulted a female victim. Jackson became combative with officers, kicking one of them in the leg and knee area, according to authorities. No other injuries were reported.
Jackson was arrested and is in the Barren County Detention Center facing multiple charges, including probation violation (for felony offense), resisting arrest, fourth-degree assault (minor injury) and third-degree assault of a police officer or probation officer.
