Central City PD: Man charged with DUI after driving with children in car
CENTRAL CITY, Ky. – Central City Police say a vehicle nearly hit an officer head on.
The officer saw the vehicle leave the road and go airborne from a ditch on Saturday afternoon, according to authorities. The officer was attempting a traffic stop when the incident occurred.
Jefferey Rose was driving the vehicle while two children were inside, according to authorities.
Rose and the two juvenile were not injured, however, an officer found that Rose was under the influence, stated police.
Rose was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence, first offense (aggravating circumstances), first-degree wanton endangerment (two counts), first-degree wanton endangerment (police officer), failure to produce an insurance card and failure to wear a seat belt.
