Bowling Green and Warren County proclaim “ADA Celebration Day”
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – July 26 is now “ADA Celebration Day” in Bowling Green and Warren County.
On July 26 in 1990, the Americans with Disabilities Act was signed into law by President George H.W. Bush, which would protect those with disabilities from discrimination.
Be it a wheelchair or completely deaf, in all aspects of life, the ADA would attempt to even the playing field for those who face physical and mental challenges.
32 years later, the city of Bowling Green and the Warren County area chose to acknowledge and commemorate the the day locally by making a proclamation that July 26 would forever be honored in this part of the commonwealth.
