Wednesdays on the Square kick off with success

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Fountain Square Park in Bowling Green is bringing the entertainment to our lunch breaks.

Today marks the first day of Wednesdays on the Square, which brought in the quite the crowd.

The City of Bowling Green and SoKY Marketplace are providing entertainment for an hour every Wednesday starting at noon.

News 40 was there and caught up with some of you at this live event:

“I think it’s a nice atmosphere, said Chasity Grace. “It’s something to do outside and it’s just a way to get the kids out enjoying some fresh air and some nice music also.”

“It’s a great thing to do, I mean it’s free!” said Karen Burnham.

Sharon Dhale said, “I just moved here six months ago and the amount of things there are to do in Bowling Green is just overwhelming. It’s so much fun.”

“It’s beautiful down here… we love Fountain Square Park, and we love the music and the people and the weathers perfect today,” said Melody Glover.

The family-friendly event will go until the last Wednesday in July and will include different artists every week.
