KSP investigating officer-involved shooting; 1 dead

LONDON, Ky. – The Kentucky State Police stated they are investigating an officer-involved shooting the led to one death Tuesday in Laurel County.

According to a release by KSP, the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office requested KSP Post 11 to investigate the shooting. The incident took place around 2:40 p.m. EST, according to the release.

KSP stated troopers and detectives responded to the scene, where one person was pronounced dead.

The investigation remains ongoing.
