Beshear recognizes Memorial Day, thanks all who have served

FRANKFORT, Ky. – Gov. Andy Beshear recognized Memorial Day in a statement posted on Twitter Monday morning.
Beshear encouraged Americans to unite to honor all servicemen and women who have given their lives in the line of duty.
“Today, we as Americans come together on Memorial Day to honor and remember the brave men and women who gave their life for our country and freedom, those who died in combat and those who mourn them, those who are wounded and those who care for and support them, those who return forever changed and those who stand by them,” said Beshear.
The governor went on to say, “Our fallen Kentucky servicemen and woman ask of us only this – that we remember them.”
Beshear ended his statement by thanking all who have served.
