I-65 project in Simpson County to cause lane closures

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A project on Interstate 65 will cause lane closures in Simpson County beginning Sunday night.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet states the project is to rehabilitate and resurface I-65. I-65 northbound will be down to two lanes from the Kentucky-Tennessee line from mile marker 0.0 to just north of exit 6.

The long-term lane closure is ongoing and will be there 24 hours a day.

As the project progresses, additional lane closures will be added.
