7th annual Mason Cup hosted at The Club at Olde Stone in honor of Mason Goodnight
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – For the seventh year, golfers made their way to The Club at Olde Stone for the Mason Cup tournament.
The tournament is named after Mason Goodnight, a Bowling Green boy who passed away in 2017.
His friends, Cooper and Canon Claycomb, founded the tournament after Mason’s passing, and his family has given back to the local youth sports community in Bowling Green.
We spoke to Mason’s mom, Janna, who tells us what this tournament and the love from their community means to her and the rest of Mason’s family.
“Our community from the beginning was so supportive of our foundation and the support of our family, so we stayed active with the community, with sports and youth athletics, and the community has embraced us, and every year we’re full at this tournament. It’s a good time,” she says.
Mason’s father, Jef Goodnight, wants to thank the community for their support over the last seven years, and he’s grateful for everyone who has come out to take part in the Mason Cup for playing with Mason’s spirit of having fun.
