$20M Agriculture Center planned for Cave City
BARREN COUNTY, KY. – The Barren County community is preparing for a major investment.
Sen. Mitch McConnell announced that federal funding will support the Cave City Area Agriculture Exposition and Conference Center, a project expected to bring a $20 million impact to the area.
The 3,000-seat venue will be attached to the Cave City Convention Center.
Barren County Judge-Executive, Jamie Bewley Byrd, said the facility could drive growth in Cave City and surrounding counties through regional partnerships.
“This is something that will help us stand out when groups are looking for a place to host events,” Byrd said. “It also allows us to work with our equine and cattle industries to make sure we’re equipped to host a variety of shows, not just one type.”
Leaders say the Cave City Area Agriculture Exposition and Conference Center will partner with local hotels to boost tourism and bring economic benefits to Barren County.
