2 arrested in Bowling Green after alleged scams at multiple Walmart locations

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Two men are behind bars after alleged retail scams at multiple Walmarts, including in Bowling Green.
According to a uniform citation, the Bowling Green Police Department was notified by Elizabethtown police about scam suspects last seen leaving a local Walmart around 11:50 a.m. Thursday.
Police say the suspects were obtaining merchandise by deceit at Walmart stores.
Authorities say they spoke with associates of Walmart stores in Bowling Green and learned the subjects had done the same scam on Feb. 3.
Police say they located a vehicle and made contact with the driver, 23-year-old Ny’Shawn Rollings, and a passenger, 24-year-old Kyzeri Hardy, both of of Douglasville, Georgia.
Officers say they detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle.
As a result, police say they conducted a vehicle search and located new Walmart merchandise, a small amount of marijuana, multiple debit and credit cards in other individuals’ names and several Walmart receipts from Indiana, Tennessee and Kentucky.
At the time of the citation, police say the items were worth a loss of $500, however, the amount could be more.
Police say both subjects denied wrongdoing.
According to the citation, Hardy also had a fake Michigan ID card with his photograph with the name and birthday of a Michigan resident. Police say Hardy stated it was his ID to “get in the club.”
Both subjects remain at the Warren County Regional Jail.
Hardy is charged with first-degree unlawful access to a computer, theft of retail merchandise for resale, theft by deception – include cold checks between $500 and $1,000, possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia – buy/possess, trafficking in financial information and theft of identity of another without consent.
Rollings is charged with first-degree unlawful access to a computer, theft of retail merchandise for resale, theft by deception – include cold checks between $500 and $1,000, possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia – buy/possess and trafficking in financial information.
