19-year-old dead after single-vehicle crash in Warren County
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A 19-year-old woman is dead following a single-vehicle crash Friday on Interstate 65 in Warren County.
According to a release by the Kentucky State Police, troopers say they responded around 4:25 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18 to the 41 mile marker of I-65 northbound for a fatal crash.
Troopers say a preliminary investigation found a 17-year-old driving a gold 2007 Nissan Titan traveling northbound on I-65 left the right side of the road for unknown reasons before hitting a tree line.
The driver was transported by Med-Com EMS to The Medical Center at Bowling Green for minor injuries before being released.
A female passenger, 19-year-old Gracie Scott of Franklin, was flown from the scene to TriStar Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, where she was later pronounced dead.
KSP was also assisted on scene by Smiths Grove Police, the Bowling Green Fire Department, the Smiths Grove Fire Department and Air-Methods.
The investigation is ongoing.
