13th annual Easter egg hunt to take place in Franklin

FRANKLIN, Ky. – For the past 13 years, a local family from south-central Kentucky has hosted an Easter egg hunt for kids and families.

The Beard gang, a family-run business, hosts the egg hunt and has created a space for hundreds of children to feel seen, with bouncy houses, food, prize giveaways and so much more.

The event serves as more than a chance for free family fun. It’s also providing kids with an experience they’ve never had before.

Michelle Hardesty, the event planner shares, “It’s important because everyone’s situation is not the same. You know, some kids will wake up to a huge Easter basket. Some kids will wake up to nothing. And our family, we always like to pour into the youth. We love giving back to the community. It was instilled to my brother and I through my father.”

The Easter egg hunt will be Saturday, April 4, from noon to 3:30 p.m. at Lincoln Park in Franklin and they are open to donations. For more information, contact Michele Hardesty on Facebook.
