UPDATE: Name of victim released in fatal motorcycle crash in Franklin

FRANKLIN, Ky. – New details are now available involving a fatal crash Sunday night in Simpson County.

According to a release, the Kentucky State Police Post 3 received information just before 7:30 p.m. about a two-vehicle fatal collision in Franklin.

KSP public affairs officer trooper Katan Parker confirmed the fatal wreck occurred near the Flying J Travel Center on Nashville Road just off of Interstate 65.

Troopers say they determined through a preliminary investigation that a 2024 Harley Davidson motorcycle operated by Eric Green, 33, of Bowling Green was traveling north on Nashville Road.

According to authorities, a tractor-trailer operated by Nugusse Yonathan, 29, of Burien, Washington was leaving the Flying J Travel Center onto Nashville Road and entered the path of Green.

Green was pronounced dead at the scene by the Simpson County coroner.

The investigation is ongoing.
