UPDATE: Warren County deputies investigating death of man found with vehicle

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Warren County Sheriff’s Office has released new details in an investigation after they say a man’s injuries are not consistent with a crash.

According to the sheriff’s office, around 2:59 a.m. Sunday, deputies found one man dead inside of a vehicle in the 11000 block of Morgantown Road.

The male has since been identified as Michael Scott Lee, 56, of Bowling Green. Lee has been transferred to Louisville earlier Monday for an autopsy.

Deputies say they found a 2016 Jeep Cherokee vehicle that had struck a utility pole.

However, authorities say the man’s injuries were not consistent with the impact.

The WCSO Crime Scene team was activated along with its CID unit.

If anyone saw anything of interest or out of the ordinary while driving along Morgantown Road or observed by security cameras between 2 to 3 a.m., they are encouraged to contact the WCSO and request to speak to one of its detectives.
