Firefighters respond to tractor-trailer fire in Franklin

FRANKLIN, Ky. – Firefighters responded Tuesday night to a tractor-trailer fire on Interstate 65 northbound in Simpson County.

Franklin-Simpson Fire & Rescue says the fire happened near Exit 6 at the 6 mile marker.

No injuries were reported, fire officials say.

Fire and rescue says the driver of the truck lost power while traveling northbound before opening the hood and seeing a fire in the engine compartment.
