Zing 106.7 launches in Glasgow, set to host Christmas Parade radio broadcast

GlASGOW, Ky. – There’s a new radio station in Glasgow that’s set to be the new home of a fixture in the Barren County community.

Zing 106.7 is the newest station from Commonwealth Broadcasting that launched on Tuesday.

It completes the cycle of stations that Commonwealth owns, from new to classic country, a classic hits station and now this one focusing on Top 40/Pop hits.

But that’s not all the station will air from the community, as during December, they’ll be the new home for one of the biggest events in Glasgow each year.

“The Christmas parade broadcast is always one of our perennial highlights. People love… because the Glasgow Christmas Parade is a unique Kentucky event for sure, and we always enjoy having it on the radio… and it broadcast it for several years. But this station will carry the Christmas parade at Christmas and do some other fun Christmas stuff too. So we’re looking forward to that this winter,” Commonwealth general manager Chris Houchens says.

Of course, you can also catch the Glasgow Christmas Parade each year on WNKY NBC 40.
