Woodburn Celebrates 24th Antique Tractor Show
Woodburn, Ky. – On Saturday. the Woodburn community came out to show off, and enjoy antique tractors and raise money for a great cause.
Dozens of tractors were shown off with many of them dating back to the 1950s, and even earlier. Games such as the tractor crawl, and hog calling were played and champions were crowned. However, the big reason the show is so special to the community is because the money that was collected will go towards the upkeep of the Woodburn cemetery, and in a tight-knit community like Woodburn, it’s important to honor those friends and family members who have passed away.
“That’s one reason it’s so special to the people of the Woodburn community, is so that we can keep the memories of all the people that make Woodburn so special. And all of these families, the majority of these families have stayed in this community. And so it’s wonderful to be able to see the generations through and through and have them to come back and tell us about their family members” said Linda Dickerson, Chairperson for the Woodburn Cemetery.
This was their 24th year of the tractor show, and the community is already looking forward to their 25th.
