Women’s Fund of Community Foundation of Southern Kentucky announces $171,000 for Impact Grant

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Each year, the Women’s Fund from the Community Foundation of Southern Kentucky presents an Impact Grant to a project or nonprofit that serves women, children or families in the area.

This year, the fund will be giving out $171,000 in funding. In recent years, they’ve given out a $100,000 grant, but this year, they’re adding a $51,000 grant. This is in addition to two $10,000 grants.

These projects are not only important to the recipients of this funding, the Community Foundation says in this day and age, it’s important for them to get as much funding as possible.

“Fundraising is hard right now… we know with inflation and there’s some dips in fundraising… and I’ve already heard that from several nonprofits… so I know this money is going to mean that much more for any growth, any new expansion,” Jennifer Wethington, Executive Director of the Community Foundation of Southern Kentucky says.

The application period for this grant opens tomorrow, and after the period closes, the Community Foundation will visit each applicant to judge them and determine who the recipients are.
