Woman speaks on string of car break-ins in Bowling Green

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The morning of October 7, several Bowling Green residents woke up to their vehicle being vandalized.
Bowling Green Police Department is currently investigating cases after 45 cars were broken into overnight. It was a shock to many on Monday morning, including Mary Embry, who spoke to News 40 about the experience.
Embry said nothing of real value was inside the vehicle at the time her window was busted out. She said she saw other cars in her apartment’s parking lot that morning, and was “shocked and surprised” to see such a thing. Embry said she’s lived in her area for the last 3 years and had not had an issue until now.
Another neighbor said to News 40 that his car had been peeked in as well but to his surprise, things of value were not taken. The man who lives above Embry said his glove compartment and middle console were left open.
