Woman seriously injured and found face down on roadway

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A woman was seriously injured early Tuesday morning at the intersection of Creekwoood Avenue and Russellville Road.

Bowling Green police officers were called to the scene at 4:10 a.m. and found the woman face down on the road, Officer Ronnie Ward said. She was flown to a Nashville trauma center.

Her condition has not been released.

Collision reconstructionists were called to the scene to determine what happened to cause the woman’s injuries.

Police have not released the woman’s identity.
