Woman seeking answers after pet turkey believed to be stolen

ADOLPHUS, Ky. – Thanksgiving is coming up and it’s not a great time for a turkey to go missing, especially one seen as a pet.
An Allen County woman is pleading with the public to help find her pal.
King is a Royal Palm turkey that lives in the back yard of Judith Yates in Adolphus.
He, along with the rest of her animals, was rescued when he likely would not have lived.
According to Yates, last Wednesday, her camera caught a family stopping in her driveway, getting out, banging on the door, honking and when she returned, her turkey was missing.
Officials have not confirmed whether or not the visitors are persons of interest, but Yates said she would like them to contact law enforcement about why they were on her property around the time when the turkey disappeared.
King is identifiable by his broken foot. He hobbles a little bit and is a rare breed of turkey, smaller in stature.
