Woman in Bowling Green crashes car into light pole with 2-year-old inside; 2 arrested
BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- A man and woman are behind bars in Warren County after the driver of a vehicle crashed into a light pole, with a 2-year-old passenger inside the car.
According to an arrest citation, on Tuesday night, Bowling Green police noticed a driver traveling in a reckless manner on Morgantown Road. Police say the front passenger door was open while the vehicle was in motion.
Police say the driver of the car, later identified Brittany Rager, 24, of Hopkinsville, then crashed into light pole in a parking lot.
Police say Rager was found unconscious behind the wheel. She was taken to a local hospital for non life threatening injuries.
Police say they noticed an open beer container and a stolen handgun inside the car, as well as a 2-year-old child, who was located unharmed in the backseat.
Rager’s passenger, Antonio Rose, 24, of Russellville, was arrested and charged with receiving stolen property-firearm.
Rager was charged with numerous offenses including, reckless driving, first-degree wanton endangerment and driving under the influence.
Both are lodged in the Warren County Regional Jail.
