Woman charged with murder in father’s death re-arrested on separate charges

GLASGOW, Ky. – A woman charged with murder in her father’s death has been arrested on new charges.

According to jail records, 47-year-old Cheryl Leighanne Bennett was arrested Tuesday on contempt of court libel/slander resistance to order charges.

Bennett was arrested in November 2022, nearly five months after 75-year-old Michael O. Logsdon was found dead in Glasgow.

According to court records, a bench warrant was ordered on Monday based on probable cause that Bennett violated bond conditions.

Bennett remains at the Barren County Detention Center.
