Woman charged with drug possession after incident at Cave City gas station

CAVE CITY, Ky. – A woman is facing drug charges after an incident at a gas station.
The Cave City Police Department says it responded to a call of an angry woman in front of the Shell gas station after hours on Mammoth Cave Street on Monday, December 2.
At the scene, a K-9 officer located Makenzie Boyer, 18.
The officer says a strong odor of marijuana was coming from Boyer’s vehicle.
A K9 officer searched the vehicle and suspected marijuana and crystal methamphetamine.
Boyer was placed under arrest and was lodged at the Barren County Corrections Center.
Boyer is charged with possession of marijuana and first-degree possession of a controlled substance first offense (methamphetamine).
