Woman allegedly stabs man, charged with attempted murder in Glasgow

GLASGOW, Ky. – A Glasgow woman is charged with attempted murder.

Glasgow Police Department Major Terry Flatt says officers responded to a residence on Frazier Avenue on Wednesday morning to a man who had been stabbed.

At the scene, officers located a man standing in a roadway who had sustained a stab wound to his left arm.

The preliminary investigation shows that a domestic situation took place, and the suspect, Abbi R. Sovine, 39, stabbed the victim.

Flatt says the man was transported to TJ Samson Hospital for treatment by Barren/Metcalfe EMS. He was later transferred to TriStar Medical Center in Nashville.

Sovine is charged with attempted murder-domestic violence (attempted). She was lodged at the Barren County Detention Center.

The investigation is ongoing.
